Ordering and Payment

Ordering

Everything listing in the online shop is completely hand stitched to order. If you see something you like you can fill in the boxes, add to basket and checkout using one of the payment methods available. Once your order comes through, you'll receive an email confirming your order.

The current processing time for orders can be found above or at the top of the website. Processing time does not include shipping time, which varies depending on where you are located.

Once you have placed an order, designing and stitching will commence. When your order is finished it will be wrapped securely in a parcel and posted to you.

Payments

Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, ApplePay and More!

I accept payments via credit/debit card, ApplePay and PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay via PayPal. When you receive an invoice (applies to orders placed outside of website), it will ask you to either log in to PayPal or 'Pay with card' which allows you to pay easily and securely without signing up for a PayPal account. If ordering through the website you can pay via PayPal or debit/credit card.

When ordering, please ensure your delivery address is correct and up to date.

Cancellations

Cancellations are not accepted if your order has been started. If you have ordered and wish to cancel, you must contact me within an hour of placing your order.

Designs may vary

When you place your order from The Flossy Stitch please note that all bespoke embroidery hoops, handkerchiefs etc are created from scratch and embroidered by hand. Therefore your order may vary very slightly from images/designs on screen (such as item positioning and design colours) to how you see them in person. This is what makes buying handmade so wonderful and unique; every order is original.

Delivery and Returns

Delivery Charges

UK - £3.65

USA - £15.00

Australia, Canada, New Zealand - £11.00

Please note - US shipping charges now include cover to accommodate for the new tariffs imposed by US customs. This means, when you order with me, you are paying more for US shipping however I will cover the tariff charges at my end, and you will received your parcel as normal with no extra charges.

All orders are sent via Royal Mail or other courier (if Royal Mail isn't available)

International orders will be passed on to delivery partners once they have left the UK.

PO boxes are posted tracked only.

Delivery Estimates

United Kingdom - 1 to 3 business days.

International/Worldwide - 5 to 7 business days (in my experience the average is usually 1-2 weeks)

(these are just a Royal Mail/Courier shipping estimate and not a guarantee)

The Flossy Stitch is not responsible for any postal delays out of my control, industrial or weather delays and custom delays. Please also consider any busier times of year such as Christmas and other seasonal occasions.

Addresses

Please ensure your address is correct at the time of ordering. I can not be held responsible for incorrect addresses. If a parcel is returned to me due to this and you would like your parcel sending again, you are responsible to pay postage again. If your parcel is returned to me and you do not wish to pay postage again, I will not be able to re-send it to you. In the instance your parcel does not return to me due to an incorrect address, you would have to place a new order, if you wish to.

Extra charges

Any customs/import taxes or other charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Returns

The Flossy Stitch cannot offer refunds/returns on items which have been tailor made to your specification. The only instance I offer returns/replacements is if your item arrives damaged. For returns on faulty/damaged items; I may require you to send the item back to me or at the very least, send a picture of the damage. Please contact me within three days of receiving your order and if I require you to return the item, please do so within fourteen days. In most instances, I may be able to re-do your damaged item. If in doubt, please just message me first and we can have a chat to resolve any problems.

This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through www.theflossystitch.com

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information such as your name, email address, postal address, payment amount/method, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom hoop order, for example), if you contact me directly. When you order, I only ever see your name, email address, postal address and payment amount/method. Your bank details are kept private from me.

I rely on a number of bases to collect, use and share your information, including:

To fulfil your orders and provide customer support where needed
For tax purposes

I do NOT send out promotional materials (such as offers or newsletters) either by post or email.

Data Retention

I keep a secure paper and electronic record of your order and the only personal information on that is your name. I do not keep a record of any other personal information you have disclosed to me.

I retain your personal information (your name) only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, tax return purposes and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 6 years.

Please note – all images, designs and work is copyright to The Flossy Stitch and its creator. If you purchase or order goods from The Flossy Stitch, these goods belong to you and may be gifted to another however the design belongs solely to The Flossy Stitch and you are not permitted to copy, reproduce, modify or distribute in any way for personal or commercial purposes. Images may not always be watermarked however they belong solely to The Flossy Stitch. All items or orders purchased from The Flossy Stitch with are designed and stitched solely by Katie Percival; owner and creator of The Flossy Stitch. By using the The Flossy Stitch website you must not copy, alter or reproduce any of the text or images without asking to do so and disclosing what your intended purpose would be with the information.

It is your responsibility as the customer to be aware of the Terms and Conditions of The Flossy Stitch and by purchasing/ordering from us you are agreeing to adhere to our Terms and Conditions.
